Mary Catherine (“Katie”) Talmo, DMD
Dr. Talmo received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Amherst College in 2003. In 2010 she graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Talmo has held the role of President of OKU, Xi Xi Chapter. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Association for Women Dentists. She is also a fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Currently, Dr. Talmo holds the position of Vice President of OKU, Xi Xi Chapter. She is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Massachusetts Dental Society, and is a fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Talmo participates in a number of dental outreach programs serving as Advisory Committee Chair to the Somerville High School Career and Technical Education’s Dental Assisting Program. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Comprehensive Care at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and as a faculty member, has traveled to the Dominican Republic as a part of the Tufts Hispanic Student Dental Association’s Global Service Learning Trip.
Dr. Talmo has remained very active in the Tufts University Dental Alumni Association, serving as a member of the M Club Executive Committee, President of the Tufts University Dental Alumni Association as well as the Dental School Board of Advisors. Dr. Talmo is an avid reader, traveler and craftswoman who enjoys spending time with her family above all else.
Carla Kruyff Arciniega, DMD
Dr. Kruyff Arciniega (also known as Dr. Kruyff or Dr. K) was born in Mexico City, Mexico and raised in South Florida. She moved to Boston to attend Tufts University where she received her B.S. in Biology and played varsity soccer. Dr. K remained at Tufts to receive her M.S. in Biomedical Sciences and D.M.D. degrees. While attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. K was awarded Merit Scholarships, the Gallagher-Wilkins Scholarship, and an award for excellence in crown and bridge work. Additionally, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honors society. Dr. K is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS). She is passionate about providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients through preventative and conservative treatment options. Dr. K lives in Boston with her husband and their dog, Rue, and enjoys spending her free time trying new restaurants, playing soccer, and reading.
Jenny
Dental Assistant
Jenny is a licensed and certified Dental Assistant. She graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in 2015 and has been working with Dr. Talmo since then. Jenny is a Somerville native and still lives in the city. She enjoys meeting new patients and is eager to learn new tasks. On her days off from work, Jenny loves spending time with family and friends, as well as trying new foods and visiting new places.
Denese
Scheduling Coordinator
Denese grew up in Everett, Massachusetts and has lived in Somerville for the past 28 years. She attended Katharine Gibbs Business School and Bunker Hill Community College where she earned an Associates Degree in Business. Prior to working for Dr. Talmo, Denese worked as a financial aid professional and loan officer. She is married with two children. She enjoys spending time with family, reading and going to the beach.
John
Billing Coordinator
John is originally from Newton, Massachusetts and currently resides in Maynard, Massachusetts. He has a degree in Psychology from Boston College. John is married, has two young sons and enjoys gardening and athletics. He is an avid sports fan and on weekends, officiates lacrosse at the high school and college level.
Holly
Dental Assistant
Holly is a DANB certified dental assistant who grew up in New England. She started her dental career in Fayetteville, NC after leaving the army in 2014. A move brough her back to New England where she developed and honed her assisting skills in the fields of orthodontics, prosthetics and pediatrics. Some of her favorite hobbies include astrology, traveling and all things Disney.
