About Mary Catherine (“Katie”) Talmo, DMD
Dr. Talmo received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Amherst College in 2003 and graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010, where she was first in her class. With a deep dedication to caring for patients of all ages, Dr. Talmo has built her practice around family dentistry, providing compassionate, comprehensive care designed to help every patient achieve lifelong oral health.
Dr. Talmo’s approach to family dentistry centers on comfort, prevention, and education. She takes time to understand each patient’s needs—whether it’s a child’s first dental visit, routine cleanings, or more advanced treatment—and ensures that every member of the family feels at ease in the dental chair. Her commitment to ongoing education keeps her at the forefront of advancements in preventive and restorative care, allowing her to provide modern, effective treatment options for families.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Talmo remains active in the dental community. She serves as the Advisory Committee Chair for the Dental Assisting Program at Somerville High School, encouraging young people to explore careers in dentistry. She also holds a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she mentors future dentists and stays engaged with the latest innovations in patient care and family-focused dentistry.
